This is Davey Havok, 2009.

So I listened to Medicate and I remembered how three years ago I was kind of obsessed with drawing AFI-related imagery and I would listen to the band non-stop. Drawing like this was nice since I haven't done black and white portraits in a while. There are some things I want to fix up, but I feel ready to go to bed right now.

Geez, that's an amazing portrait! The values are very strong and the hair and skin are done superbly! I think that 5 o'clock shadow is my favorite part ;)

another nice addition to your gallery for sure. the eyes pop and i like the hair especially for some reason, but the right side of his throat seems oddly bright and smooth for his age and the teeth seem a little flat. still a very strong portrait. s'good.
